Our newest piece of thermoforming equipment, the TP-30HD, has been completed and tested. This trim press is capable of speeds in excess of 200 cycles per minute and is built to use any type of trim tool, including punch and die tools. The steel plate frame is of the same basic design as our larger TP-44 trim press, and the servo driven platen rides on four 2" guide pins. These features ensure consistent alignment between the trim tool halves, and eliminate any chance of flex in the press.
Take a look at the video below to see some footage of the trim press operating at 175 CPM. Faster speeds are possible with fine tuning the process in the production environment.
